2001 Comments: I am doing some research into the life of Red Hugh O'Donnell (1572-1602) and came across your site quite by accident. It is beautifully presented. Your write up on The O'Donnell was very interesting and more historically accurate than you'd find on most other websites. I especially liked the illustrations since no contemporary likeness of Red Hugh has survived. The Nine Years War is, of course, very topical in Ireland at the moment as this year marks the 400th anniversary of the Battle of Kinsale. 2002, consequently, will be the equivalent anniversary of O'Donnell's assassination by an English agent in Spain aon nós caithfidh mé a rá arís go bhfuil an 'website' sea go hiontach ar fad.Le gach dea ghuí-Aisling Name: Aisling Ní Bhroin |

| Date: 4/09/00 Comments: Hi Dove, Just popped in during a Sunday morning tour of the various Celtic/Irish sites. I am a storyteller living in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and appreciate the content and style of your site. There is, indeed, a renewed interest in story and its power in re-building our communities of people. Will come back for another look - later - but thanks for what you've provided this far. Am interested in creating a circle of tellers who tell Irish/Celtic stories. Noted a comment from a visitor about Eamon Kelly. Yes, truly a "grand" seanachie in the best of the tradition. My family is Irish, having immigrated to Canada in 1854. Best. Name: Vincent Murphy |
